We stayed in Upper Pines campground, though I couldn't find much difference between it and Lower or North Pines. Spaces were spacious, the setting was beyond gorgeous, and of course the location simply cannot be beat. Still, I don't care how nice it is. Dry camping with nasty bathrooms, no hand soap, and far away $5/person showers is just never. There's plenty of flat ground space for at least three 2-person tents, though you won't get much privacy from other sites. But hey, if you wanted privacy, you wouldn't be camping in a Yosemite Valley campground :) Avoid any of the sites near the bathrooms - there isn't much in terms of trees / bushes as a buffer Travelers should make reservations for the pet-friendly North, Upper, and Lower Pines Campgrounds at least four months in advance.
